An Internet Commons Congress is being held on March 24-25 at the University of Maryland. The congress provides a venue for users of the commons to educate each other, discuss ways of expanding the reach of the Internet as a commons, and organize resistence to the tendency of public and private interests to assert dominion over the Internet commons. Speakers include Richard Stallman (via video link), Michael Hart (Project Gutenberg), Eric Blossom (GNU Radio), Norbert Bollow (DotGNU) and David Sugar (GNU Bayonne). More details from the congress website
