Brewster Kahle, of the Internet Archive, and Richard Prelinger, of the Prelinger Film Archive, have filed a new legal complaint against the Attorney General of the United States challenging "perpetual copyright" on existing works. Their arguments focus on the constitutionality of unconditional copyright for "orphan works" where the author cannot be traced. Details available from Standford Law School Center for Internet and Society.
