The Free Software Society at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign aims to focus on political, philosophical, and legal issues of Free Software, as well as spreading Free Software to more people. Inspired by virus problems on campus, the group wants to educate people about Free Software, as well as bring RMS to campus to counter a coming visit by Bill Gates, Microsoft's chairman.
