FSF Europe?

Is there tention between FSF America (FSF) and FSF Europe? Recently (before the new site design of FSF Europe) I added a link on the FSF and GNU Project homepage to FSF Europe per their request. A week after I put the link up, the new FSF Europe website went online without any links to FSF or even the GNU project pointing to their official URL's (<http://www.fsf.org> and <http://www.gnu.org>), FSF Europe was notified tactfully that it would be nice if they linked back to us if we went through the effort of linking to them, but that was weeks ago and still there is not visible link to FSF America.

This is disipointing. If FSF Europe thinks that we are doing something wrong at the FSF it would be nice to know about it instead of recive the cold sholder.

Just my 5 cents.

[new] Hmm, there are _some_ links.. (#1)

The "Community" page (or, the projects page) links to a short piece about GNU, which does link to www.gnu.org. But you're probably right, it's not really visible...

I don't think there is any tension between FSFE and the FSF US though, in fact, quite the opposite, unless I missed something.

As far as I know, there's no tension whatsoever. There are links from the About-page, but yes, I agree that there could be a more visible link, perhaps on the front page.

Most likely it's just an oversight though. I'll prod Jonas as soon as he gets back. He's out of town right now and although I could call him, I think he's enjoying the time without computers. Either that, or going nuts over not being able to check email or Kom. =)

The answer is simply that I've not decided on where to put them yet. Perhaps they should go below the menu, I'm not sure. We've made sure to put links to the FSF NA and the GNU-project where they are "in context" though.

When counting them, I seem to find at least five prominent links from the major sections. In fact I remember that the FSF Europe site has always linked to the FSF, only the link in the other direction seems to have been added only recently.
