This section will contain news and other information related to GNU-Friends itself, such as service announcements, new or updated features and so on. Articles posted here will not generally be displayed on the front page, so you will have to explicitly visit this section if you wish to read stories from it. This will also function as a place where discussions about future enhancements to the backend code can be discussed.

It's largly a matter of prefrence I suppose, but there is a precedent for calling it meta, and it's more intuitive.

Like, someone might think a 'gnu-friends' section is about friends of GNU (the users of the site) rather than the site itself. I know that's a stretch, but it could happen.

Anyhow, gnu-friends is an ok title, and I'm not going to complain if thats what you want to call it.
