Why another news site?

Because none of the existing suited out needs. We wanted a news site that could contain things that are important or interesting for the GNU community. Some of the news that will be published will probably be sent elsewhere too, but a great deal of them will only be of interest to those who are friends of the GNU project.

What software do you use?

GNU-Friends runs only Free Software, out of which the most notable are Debian GNU/Linux together with many, many, GNU-utilities, the Apache webserver, the Scoop community software and Perl, one of the best scripting language ever invented.
