A new paper exploring the development of the "ex post" theory of "intellectual property" has been published by Prof. Mark Lemley (Stanford Law School). The paper describes how common arguments for the extension of copyright and patents are fundamentally at odds with the public goods nature of information. A new paper on the legal aspects of modularization and digitalization by Dan Wielsch (Stanford Law School) and Andrea Ottolia (UCB) has been published in the Yale Journal of Law & Technology. | Nuxeo releases mail management system under the GPL |

French-based company Nuxeo has released its enterprise mail management system CourierCPS under the GPL, as part of its Collaborative Portal Server 3 (CPS3) product line. The software has been developed under contract to the French government in partnership with Capgemini. Details of the software are available in the press release from Nuxeo.com.
